FiberSensing – Sistemas Avançados de Monitorização, S.A., is a world leader in the development and production of advanced monitoring systems based on optical fiber Bragg grating (FBG) technology. The main markets are the ones of structural health monitoring in Civil and Geotechnical Engineering, Energy Industries, Aerospace and R&D.

Founded in April 2004 as a spin-off from INESC Porto , the company offers the most complete portfolio of products in terms of FBG sensors, measurement units and software packages. In addition, it provides complete solutions for monitoring, such as custom development of OEM Systems and monitoring projects.

The company is certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 standards and is proud of having addressed more than one hundred different monitoring projects around the world and delivered thousands of sensors and measurement units.

Within MAREWINT FiberSensing acts as Associated Partner expressing industrial needs, context and motivation for the research objectives and program, providing industrial application cases for the researchers hosted by the network partners and defining and hosting short duration secondment opportunities for the network researchers.
