Posted: 4 February, 2013 / Age: 6 yrs

Due to the many requests we have received, the abstract submission deadline of COMPOSITES 2013 has been extended to February 15, 2013. The remaining deadlines remain unchanged.

COMPOSITES 2013, the IV ECCOMAS Thematic Conference on the Mechanical Response of Composites will be held at the University of the Azores, Ponta Delgada, Azores, Portugal, from September 25 to 27, 2013. The purpose of COMPOSITES 2013 is to provide opportunities for scientists and engineers working in the field of composite materials and structures to meet and to discuss current research, new concepts and ideas and establish opportunities for future collaborations.

We invite you, your co-workers and students to present your research work at the COMPOSITES 2013 conference.

We also inform you that our distinguished Invited Lecturers are:

  • Professor Pierre Ladeveze - L.M.T. Cachan, France
Virtual Testing of Laminated Composites: State-of-the-art and Challenges
  • Professor Anoush Poursartip - Convergent Manufacturing Technologies, Canada
Transitioning Composites Knowledge and Models into Industrial Practice: Challenges and Opportunities
  • Professor Ignaas Verpoest - Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium
Innovative Toughening Concepts for Composites: Nano-engineering, Metal Fibres, Natural Fibres, Hybridisation

Please visit the website of the conference http://www1.dem.ist.utl.pt/composites2013/ for more information and feel free to direct any question you might have to the secretariat at composites2013(at)dem.ist.utl(dot)pt

In order to prepare your abstract you should download the template (MS Word or LaTeX) from the website and follow the instructions in the template. The abstracts should then be sent by e-mail to the conference secretariat at composites2013(at)dem.ist.utl(dot)pt.
